Job summary

Partners Personnel seeks an experienced CNC Set Up Operator to program and set up CNC lathes and milling machines for precision components. You will read blueprints, install tooling, and ensure tight tolerances through careful measurement and calibration.

Ideal candidates bring G-code/M-code expertise, CAM software familiarity, and a strong lean manufacturing mindset to maintain high-quality production in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in programming CNC machines with G-code and M-code.
• Experience with CAM software such as SolidWorks or CAD programs is highly desirable.
• Familiar with GD&T measurement practices and precision instruments.

Responsibilities

• Read/measures using calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators to verify dimensions.
• Program CNC machines to create precise machining instructions.
• Set up CNC equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, and manual tools for production runs.
• Install tooling, fixtures, and measurement devices to ensure accuracy.
• Calibrate machines, perform tool changes, and optimize performance while maintaining tolerances.
• Perform quality inspections to verify parts meet GD&T specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct routine maintenance.
