Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear in Arlington, Texas is seeking a CNC Milling Machinist for an on-site, 2nd shift role. You will set up and operate CNC milling machines, read blueprints, run production, and inspect parts to GD&T specs.

A +6% shift premium is offered and training is provided to grow your skills. As a 75‑year-old, family-owned manufacturer, we produce sprockets, gears, and other power transmission components for worldwide customers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of measuring tools such as calipers and gauges.
• Basic shop math and mechanical knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions.
• Willingness to work on-site in Arlington, TX.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines and perform daily maintenance.
• Run milling operations including face/end milling, drilling, tapping, and gear cutting.
• Read blueprints and route instructions to make parts to spec.
• Set up machines for production runs from low to high volume.
• Monitor part quality, maintain offsets, and make adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoot programs and resolve machining issues.
• Inspect parts accurately using precision measuring tools and GD&T.
• Improve setup time and keep machines running efficiently.
• Document machining steps and reports.
