Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Windsor, CT is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to turn blueprints into finished components on multi-axis mills and lathes. You will set up and operate CNC mills, verify part accuracy through rigorous quality checks, and work with engineering to optimize cutting strategies.

You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, maintain a tidy, safe workstation, and collaborate with teammates in a fast-moving shop to meet tight production schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; machining-related degree is a plus.
• Demonstrated CNC milling experience and strong tolerance control.
• Experience reading/interpreting drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-moving shop.
• Detail-oriented with proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Translate blueprints and specifications into efficient machining plans.
• Set up and operate CNC mills; verify accuracy with quality checks.
• Troubleshoot, adjust, and perform routine maintenance to sustain uptime.
• Partner with engineering to refine tooling and cut strategies.
• Maintain a tidy, safe workstation and contribute to continuous improvement.
