Thorlabs in Newton, NJ seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment. You will read blueprints, program adjustments, and ensure components meet tight tolerances.

Required are 4+ years of CNC experience, HS diploma, and preferably CNC certification or trade training. Sign-on bonus and shift differential are offered, with opportunities to grow within a global photonics leader.

Formación

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position preferred
• CNC certification or trade school is a major plus
• Knowledge of Lean Principles including Just in Time and Setup Time Reduction is a plus

Responsabilidades

• Performs set ups on Vertical and Horizontal CNC Milling Machines (3 & 4 axis).
• Experience with Haas and Fanuc controls.
• Understanding of G codes and M codes; reading blueprints and GD&T.
• Measures, inspects, and troubleshoots finished parts for conformance to specifications.
• Maintains safe and clean work areas and adheres to company policies.
