Thorlabs is seeking a CNC Operator to run CNC machines and inspect parts against detailed drawings. The role may involve operating manual mills and lathes, and performing routine maintenance to keep equipment in top condition.

Candidates should have 1–2 years of similar experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and some CNC programming training. The position is on site in Newton, NJ with a night shift.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNC certification or trade school considered a major plus.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar CNC role with programming training preferred.
• Blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing knowledge is advantageous.

Mansioni

• Operate CNC machines in accordance with inch and metric drawings.
• Monitor and inspect machined components for accuracy against drawings.
• May operate manual mills, lathes and secondary equipment as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping and preventative maintenance on CNC machines.
