Job summary

Bucks County, PA-based manufacturer Htprof is seeking a Setup Machinist to set up and operate complex 4- and 5-axis CNC milling jobs. You will ensure parts meet quality standards, perform 1st article approval, and assist in training operators.

The role emphasizes high accuracy, adherence to procedures, and cycle-time optimization. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of setup experience on Mazak/Haas/Chiron machines, strong math skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with team

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• At least 2 years of setup experience with Mazak/HAAS/Chiron preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work with little supervision.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up jobs on MAZAK, HAAS or CHIRON milling machines.
• Follow processes; work with programmer to ensure instruction accuracy.
• Responsible for 1st piece approval and hand-off; train/oversee operators.
• Ensure cycle times are met or exceeded.
• Make offsets, speed/feeds and edits to improve cycle time, tool life, quality.
• Inspect deburred parts with gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators and microscopes.
• Operate machines between setups.
• Document inspection data and results.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area.
• Be a team player; communicate improvements to management.
• Maintain concentration for repetitive tasks in a fixed order.
