Responsibilities

• Set-up jobs on MAZAK, HAAS or CHIRON milling machines as scheduled.
• Work with the programmer to ensure accuracy of setup instructions.
• Perform first piece approval and hand-off to operators.
• Aim to optimize cycle times and tool life through appropriate offsets and edits.
• Inspect deburred parts to verify conformance using measuring tools.
• Operate machines between setups and maintain a safe, clean workspace.
• Document inspection data and outcomes as required.
• Follow procedures to address non-conformities as needed.
