Responsibilities

• Train and oversee multiple operators as needed.
• Meet or exceed cycle time expectations and optimize tools.
• Inspect parts using gauges and calipers for conformance.

Location: Warminster, PA | Schedule: Full-time, on-site

Overview

An established precision manufacturing company is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Setup Machinist to set up and run complex multi-axis milling jobs. This role is critical to maintaining high quality standards and efficient production, with responsibility for first-part approval and hands-on training of other operators.

What you'll do

• Set up jobs as scheduled to run on MAZAK, HAAS, or CHIRON milling machines, including 4 and 5 axis work
• Follow established manufacturing processes and procedures, working with programmers to ensure accurate and complete setup and job instructions
• Perform 1st piece approval and machine hand-off, and train and/or oversee multiple operators
• Ensure cycle time expectations are met or exceeded
• Make offsets, speed/feed, and rapid edits as needed to improve cycle time, tool life, and quality
• Inspect deburred parts for conformance to quality specifications using gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators, microscopes, and other measuring tools
• Operate machines as required between setups
• Follow procedures to address non-conformities
• Document inspection data, outcomes, and results as needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment

Required qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings

• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
• Physical ability to safely lift objects up to 50lbs and stand/walk for more than 5 hours per day

• Ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks completed in a specific order and notice any changes
