Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining or setup experience.
• 2+ years working on 4- or 5-axis machining centers.
• Strong understanding of multi-axis workholding and GD&T.
• Experience performing first article inspections.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete setups on 4- and 5-axis VMCs/HMCs, including tooling, fixtures, program loading, and offsets.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and setup sheets for complex part geometries.
• Validate setups with first-piece inspections using micrometers and CMM data.
• Collaborate with programmers to optimize toolpaths, speeds, feeds, and cycle times.
• Troubleshoot tool reach, interference, workholding clearance, and axis behavior.
• Maintain setup documentation and tooling lists for repeat jobs.
• Ensure machines run safely during initial production runs.
• Monitor production and address issues as they arise.
