Job summary

Software Placement Group is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Setup Machinist in Warminster, PA to set up and run 4- and 5-axis milling jobs on MAZAK, HAAS, and CHIRON machines. You will ensure first-part approval, train operators, and maintain production efficiency.

The role requires at least 2 years of setup experience, ability to read drawings, strong attention to detail, and the stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. On-site, full-time position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and documents.
• Minimum 2 years of setup experience on milling machines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work with little supervision.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing long hours.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run complex multi-axis milling jobs on MAZAK/HAAS/CHIRON (4-5 axis).
• Collaborate with programmers to ensure accurate setup instructions.
• Perform first-piece approval and machine hand-off.
• Train and oversee multiple operators as needed.
• Meet or exceed cycle time expectations and optimize tools.
• Inspect parts using gauges and calipers for conformance.
