Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Mill Operator to set up and run CNC milling machines in Enumclaw, WA. You will read blueprints, measure parts with calipers and micrometers, and ensure precision in production.

The role focuses on steel components, tool life management, and controlling speeds and feeds. This is a contract-to-hire, onsite position with benefits and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of CNC mill operation.
  • Experience with multi-axis machinery.
  • Knowledge of machining steel materials.
  • Experience with CNC Mills, Mazak/Okuma/DMG.
  • Ability to read blueprints and measure with calipers/micrometers.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machines with precision and efficiency.
  • Utilize micrometers, calipers, and height gauges for accurate measurements.
  • Handle multiple grades of materials, specifically focusing on steel.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate production outcomes.
  • Manage tooling, loading, usage, speeds, and feeds.
  • Determine sequence of operations and manage tool life to enhance productivity.
Essential Skills
  • 1-3 years of experience in CNC Mill operation.
  • Proficiency in operating multi-axis machines.
  • Knowledge of machining steel materials.
  • Experience with CNC Mills, specifically Mazak, Okuma, and DMG.
  • Ability to read blueprints and make precise measurements with calipers and micrometers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with different setups and understanding of tooling.
  • Capability to handle offsets and understand program blocks.

Work Environment

Our manufacturing facility focuses on producing hydraulic actuators. This position is for the 2nd shift, operating from 1:15 PM to 9:45 PM, Monday through Friday. The role includes working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where safety and precision are paramount.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Enumclaw, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.78 - $28.78/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
