About the Role

As a CNC Mill Operator, you'll be instrumental in producing high-precision components using CNC milling machines. You'll interpret technical documentation, set up and operate machines, make minor program edits, and ensure all parts meet our exacting quality standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints and technical documentation for machining operations.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, selecting appropriate tooling and settings.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure part accuracy and adherence to tight tolerances.
• Perform minor edits to CNC programs at the control.
• Utilize precision measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators for quality inspection.
• Safely handle and position parts using hoists, overhead cranes, or forklifts.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required; a Technical Degree in Machining is preferred.
• Minimum of 1-5 years of CNC machining experience is preferred..
• Proficient in blueprint reading and using common inspection tools.
• Strong foundation in basic and applied mathematics relevant to machining.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and 5S Principles are a plus.

Physical Demands

This role involves regular physical activity including standing, squatting, climbing, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 25 lbs. frequently, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. You'll work in a manufacturing environment requiring appropriate PPE.
