Now Hiring: Second Shift CNC Machine Operator


Location: 3832 Fitzgerald Rd, Louisville, KY 40216 (relocating to a brand new state-of-the-art facility in LaGrange, KY in early 2026)
Shifts Availabe:

  • 2nd shift machine operator 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday through Friday
  • 3rd shift machine operator 11:00pm-7:30am Sunday though Thursday
  • (5th shift machine operator 7:00am-7:00pm Friday through Sunday (work 36 hours and get paid for 40, plus 10% shift differential)

Job Summary

Hidden Talent is proud to be hiring on behalf of C&S Machine and Manufacturing, a precision-driven manufacturer in Louisville, KY. We're seeking skilled CNC Machine Operators with experience on mills, lathes, or both. This role involves operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality precision parts in a clean, safety-focused environment with opportunities for advancement.

Please note: We are specifically seeking CNC Machine Operators with hands-on experience operating CNC lathes, mills, or both, cutting raw steel material to produce precision parts. Experience with punch presses, brake presses, or laser machines does not meet the requirements for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC mill and/or lathe machines, including mounting tools, fixtures, and workpieces
  • Load raw materials and adjust machine settings to meet production specifications
  • Follow work instructions and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Monitor machining operations and inspect finished components for accuracy
  • Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Maintain production logs and report nonconformities
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Keep work areas clean and adhere to safety protocols
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred: 1+ years of trade school, vocational education, or related experience
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Must speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Strong attention to detail, math skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Comfortable using modern manufacturing technology/software
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management systems
  • Able to follow OSHA safety standards
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely
  • Stand, walk, bend, push/pull, and climb ladders throughout the shift
  • Visual acuity to read gauges and inspect parts
  • Tolerance for moderate to high noise levels and potential exposure to oils and coolants
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced, precision-focused manufacturing floor
  • Exposure to heat, humidity, cold, and machine-related hazards
  • Overtime or off-shift hours may be required based on production demands
