Job summary

AMETEK Inc. is seeking a Machinist for 2nd shift (Mills) in Dayton, OH. This role requires setting up and operating CNC mills, writing/qualifying CNC programs, and sustaining quality and productivity with limited supervision.

Hours are Monday–Thursday 3:30pm–2am with a 15% shift differential. High School Diploma or GED and 3–6 years CNC experience are required; compensation ranges from $50,000 to $75,000 yearly, USD.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with CNC experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating and programming CNC equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various CNC machines to produce parts per print requirements.
• Write and qualify CNC programs that meet drawing specifications.
• Meet quality and schedule requirements.
• Monitor tool life and replace cutting tools as needed.
• Troubleshoot programming and in-process production issues.
• Provide written feedback to aid in process improvements.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
