Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a CNC Machinist I to produce precision parts by operating CNC equipment and following drawings. You will maintain quality and safety standards while recording activities and supporting continuous improvement.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, production experience, and preferred tooling/machining credentials. Candidates should be detail‑oriented, reliable, and a team player, with strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a production environment (E/D).
• Associate's degree or certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Math and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines within tolerances per work instructions and drawings.
• Change dull tooling and/or make minor offsets for wear.
• Ensure product quality by OOQ standards and inspection reports.
• Perform routine maintenance per daily checklist and PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete routers/cards.
• Ensure safe working practices and report safety issues.
• Meet productivity targets and seek improvements.
• Record activities in the job tracking system.
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities.
• Identify/manufacture issues with Team Leader for resolution.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping in work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
