Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist in Fremont, OH to set up, program, and operate 5-axis CNC mills on plastic molds and precision components. You will use Mastercam, write G&M codes, and verify part tolerances on close-tolerance work.

You must have 5+ years' experience, read blueprints, perform own setups, and work in a job shop environment. This permanent, on-site role offers first and third shift opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of CNC mill machining experience in a production or job shop.
• Proficiency in programming CNC mills using Mastercam.
• Demonstrated experience performing own CNC mill set-ups independently.
• Ability to operate and set up 5-axis CNC mills.
• Strong understanding of G&M codes and their application in CNC machining.
• Ability to consistently machine parts to tolerances within ±0.001 inch.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Experience working in a machine shop or job shop setting.
• Solid knowledge of general milling and machining practices.
• Ability to work safely and follow established procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC milling equipment to produce precision parts.
• Develop toolpaths in Mastercam and adjust programs at the machine control.
• Machine parts to tight tolerances and inspect with precision tools.
• Interpret blueprints and work instructions to ensure accuracy.
• Perform own set-ups including tooling selection and offset setting.
• Collaborate with team to resolve machining issues and improve processes.
• Monitor machine performance and maintain production records.
