Job summary

BMG in Fremont, OH is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate 3- to 5-axis milling, mill/turn lathes, surface/grinding processes, and wire EDM. The role focuses on producing precise custom tooling parts for high-volume food service and packaging systems.

Ideal candidates have strong CNC background, can read blueprints, and work with Fanuc/Siemens controls. Off-shift availability and physical stamina are required, with relocation assistance offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma; preference for a certificate program in manufacturing processes or equivalent experience.
• Prefer 3+ years of experience in high-tech machining with feeds, speeds and tooling on mills and lathes.
• Strong eagerness to learn and master advanced machining techniques.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings with CAM environment familiarity.
• Proficient in reading CNC G-Code; Fanuc/Siemens controls preferred.
• Solid mechanical knowledge in a CNC machining setting.
• Willingness to work off-shift schedules.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Plan, set up, adjust, and operate a variety of CNC machine tools.
• Machine complex parts to tight tolerances and high finish specs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and multi-view drawings.
• Review programs and processes offline to identify issues.
• Perform accurate metrology inspections and troubleshooting.
• Monitor and operate multiple machines for maximum utilization.
• Collaborate with minimal supervision and solve problems.
• Help achieve production targets related to scrap, rework, and downtime.
