Job summary

SV Microwave is seeking a quality-minded machinist for the second shift in Florida. You will set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce high quality parts, keeping accurate labor records and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities include completing set-ups, making adjustments for dimensional accuracy, and reporting issues to maintenance. Experience reading blueprints and using measuring tools is required; ISO/quality familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, orders and specs.
  • Experience with CNC milling setup and operation.
  • Familiarity with micrometers, calipers and gauging tools.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and run CNC milling machines to produce parts with quality and efficiency.
  • Complete about two set-ups per day and maintain records.
  • Keep work area clean, safe, and well organized.
  • Make programming adjustments to ensure dimensional quality.
  • Report malfunctions to maintenance and follow procedures.

Job description

This is a great opportunity on the second shift for a quality-minded, detail-oriented machinist who can set up and operate CNC Milling machines. SV Microwave appreciates and rewards a good craftsperson who enjoys challenges and is dedicated to producing the highest quality products.

The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday, @4pm-12:30am.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and run CNC Milling machines to produce high quality piece parts with best cycle time
  • Complete a specified number of set‑ups per day (generally two)
  • Maintain clean, organized and safe area
  • Maintain machines in excellent working order
  • Maintain accurately all pertinent paperwork and records (e.g., labor reporting)
  • Make any and all programming adjustments to insure dimensional and cosmetic quality
  • Report any malfunctions to maintenance dept.
  • Perform other duties as required
Requirements
  • Previous Mill CNC set‑up experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering orders, and all appropriate manuals and specifications
  • Knowledge of measuring devices and their operation, e.g., micrometers, calipers, drop gages
  • Good mechanical ability
  • Operation of optical comparator
  • Good computer skills
  • Math skills
