Microwave Techniques in Gorham, Maine, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Components Division. The role requires 3–5 years of manual machining experience and involves interpreting blueprints, setting up CNC equipment, and collaborating with engineers to meet exact specifications.

You will work in a high-precision manufacturing environment, performing maintenance and quality checks while lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Our Components Division, located in Gorham, Maine is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 or more years of manual machining experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Knowledge of machines, tools and their maintenance
• Ability to interpret blueprints, setup sheets and work tickets
• Uploading and downloading programs into the CNC equipment based on detailed specifications
• Setting up the CNC equipment with the correct tooling and parts to perform the job
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, programmers and other team members
• Inspecting and maintaining equipment
• Ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments
• Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods
• Perform Preventive Maintenance of CNC Equipment

Requirements

• 3 – 5 Years Experience as a CNC Machinist Preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically active work.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Willingness to cross-train and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Strong planning and documentation skills, detail focused.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven production environment.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including converting fractions to decimals
