EnerStaff LLC is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate a CNC mill, producing complex parts to tight tolerances. You will read blueprints, select tools, and monitor machine performance to ensure high-quality output.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CNC milling experience, knowledge of Fanuc controls, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This temp-to-hire role is based in Houston, with a daytime shift and ASAP start.

CNC Mill Machinist (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Houston, TX 77081

Pay: $28-$31/ hour DOE

Shift: 5am-1:30pm

Start: ASAP

POSITION SUMMARY:

The CNC Mill Machinist is responsible for setting up, machining, and producing complex production parts on a CNC mill to high tolerance design specifications in an accurate, timely, and cost-effective manner.

POSITION KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operates all equipment and tools with the utmost attention to safety and professionalism.
  • Studies blueprints, drawings, schematics, engineering information, or sample parts to determine product dimensions and tolerances as well as the best method and sequence of operations needed to fabricate parts.
  • Independently sets up and operates CNC mills.
  • Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used for machining work.
  • Capable of performing quality control functions on the CNC mill (offset adjustment).
  • Aligns/ secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials onto machines
  • Monitors the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Measures, examines, and tests completed parts to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Oversees that all work is performed to the highest quality and safety standards in the machining cell.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong analytical and communication skills are a must

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
  • 5+ years of machining experience with a CNC mill
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Exerts up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects
