Job summary

Openwork in Houston is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a day shift opportunity in the Hobby Airport area. The ideal candidate will have Haas mills and lathes experience with GibbsCam programming considered a plus.

Overtime opportunities are available, and pay starts at $30+ per hour depending on experience. You will be responsible for complete setups, reading blueprints, and programming from CAD models.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience working from CAD models.
• GibbsCam experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete set-ups and operate CNC mills and lathes (HAAS experience preferred).
• Program machines from blueprints and technical models (GibbsCam experience preferred).
• Utilize tool probes and make machine adjustments as needed.
• Machine and inspect rotating parts, split parts, and bearings.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust machine parameters to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet production schedules and quality standards.

SCHEDULE

• Day Shift
• Monday-Friday 6am-3pm
• Overtime opportunities available
• Location: Houston, TX- Hobby Airport area
• Pay: $30+ depending on experience
