Accurate Personnel is hiring a CNC Machinist in Houston, TX to set up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills, producing parts for inflatable packers. The candidate needs to bring a toolbox, work with straight and taper threads, and operate under minimal supervision while following blueprints and tolerances.

The role offers a 1st shift (6 am–2:30 pm) with weekly pay and a benefits package including medical, dental, and vision.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mark, and indicate dimensions on parts.
• Prepare fixtures, tools, and attachments for machine operations.
• Set controls for speed, feed, coolant, and depth; monitor for malfunctions.
• Verify finished part conformance to specifications and resolve issues with team.

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: CNC MACHINIST IN HOUSTON, TX

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a CNC Machinist to join our team in Houston, TX. This individual will be responsible for performing set up and operation of CNC machinery (lathe and/or mill) in order to prepare metallic and non-metallic parts required in the production of inflatable packers. The ideal candidate will possess their own toolbox and tools with experience with straight/taper threads and the ability to work under a minimum of supervision. Pay, Schedule, and Location

• Starting at $30 to $35/hour, paid weekly
• Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
• 1st shift schedule: 6 am to 2:30 pm

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC machinery in all phases of operation, to run first article parts and/or to proof new programs ensuring quality product
• Primary duties Include working on new product programs including ensuring production readiness for new launches which includes:
• Review blueprints, drawings, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances
• Identify, produce and gauge a variety of straight and taper threads, including Acme and buttress (does not apply to mill positions).
• Measure, mark and otherwise indicate the dimensions and reference points on the part or material
• Select, align and secure the holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines
• Calculate and set controls to regulate various machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect any malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust the machine controls
• Verify conformance of finished part to ensure that it meets specifications.
• Confer with production personnel, engineers or others to resolve machining or assembly issues.
• Perform daily maintenance duties and/or notify supervisor of any equipment-related issues that may require attention.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must own toolbox and tools
• Experience with straight/taper threads is required
• Ability to work under a minimum of supervision
• Requires one-year certificate from college or technical school or minimum of five years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write and/or complete routine reports.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
