Responsibilities include complex setups, multi-axis milling and mill-turn operations, in-process inspections with micrometers and calipers, tool changes, offset adjustments, and collaboration to maintain a clean, safe, highly productive shop

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC setups and operation.
• Ability to read GD&T drawings to exact tolerances.
• Experience with micrometers, calipers and indicators.
• Strong shop math skills: algebra and geometry.

• Execute complex setups and operate multi-axis CNC milling and mill-turn equipment to meet rigorous production standards.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools to ensure all parts adhere to exact engineering specifications.
• Conduct routine tool changes, offset adjustments, and minor program edits to maintain optimal machining efficiency.
• Troubleshoot equipment performance issues and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Manage the full lifecycle of a job, from loading raw materials to deburring finished components and organizing tooling.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and maintain a clean, safe, and highly productive shop environment.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of professional experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines or lathes.
• Strong proficiency in reading technical drawings, including GD&T specifications.
• Expertise with precision gauging tools like micrometers, calipers, and indicators.
• Solid understanding of shop math, including algebra and geometry for material fabrication.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must meet U.S. Person status requirements for export-controlled projects.

Preferred Skills

• Technical or vocational certification in machining or related fields.
• Hands-on experience with Mazak, Okuma, or Matsuura control systems.
• Proven ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously to maximize throughput.
• Experience working within AS9100 quality management systems.
