Qualifications

Job description

Our manufacturing department is seeking a reliable and talented CNC Machinist to become a key member of our production crew. Your primary focus will be the configuration, management, and oversight of CNC machinery to ensure the creation of top-tier precision parts that consistently meet our rigorous quality and output benchmarks.

Core Duties

Configure and manage the operation of CNC lathes, mills, and related production hardware
Analyze and translate technical schematics, diagrams, and operational guides
Position and secure raw materials into the machinery for processing
Choose and mount the correct cutting implements, fixtures, and tooling
Modify machine parameters and offsets to ensure parts meet exact specifications
Verify the integrity of completed components using micrometers, calipers, and specialized gauging tools
Help ensure consistent product excellence by conducting thorough in-process and final quality checks
Observe active machine cycles and implement real-time corrections as required
Resolve minor technical malfunctions related to tooling or equipment performance
Maintain a tidy workspace and conduct regular preventative maintenance on machinery
Document production activities to ensure all records remain precise and up-to-date
Contribute to a safer workplace by strictly adhering to all safety protocols and quality guidelines
Collaborate with engineering staff and supervisors to help the team achieve its production targets

Required Qualifications

Prior background in CNC machining is highly valued
Proficiency in deciphering complex technical blueprints and schematics
Solid grasp of machining workflows, tooling requirements, and CNC operation
Practical experience utilizing various precision measurement devices
Foundational knowledge of GD&T principles is considered an asset
Demonstrate a sharp eye for detail to help maintain our high standards of quality
Capacity to function effectively both autonomously and within a collaborative group
Strong mechanical aptitude and a knack for identifying solutions to technical problems
Physical capability to remain standing for long durations and perform safe material handling

Preferred Background

Hands‑on experience with lathe and/or mill operations
Familiarity with CNC control systems like Mazak, Haas, Fanuc, or equivalent
Background in editing or creating CNC programs
Proficiency in CAM platforms such as Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, Mastercam, or similar
Experience managing machine setups, selecting tooling, and performing first‑piece validation
