Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC, is recruiting for a full-time Process Operator / CNC Machinist across multiple shifts. You will set up and operate CNC equipment, read drawings, and ensure safety and quality in a climate-controlled factory environment.

Applicants should have at least 3 years in CNC operations, a forklift/crane license or ability to obtain, and proficiency in QA and metrology. Strong math skills and PPE compliance are required.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum 3 years in CNC operations.
Fork truck/crane license or ability to obtain it.
Ability to pass safety and QA tests.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC equipment (e.g., horizontal boring, laser drilling, 5-axis milling).
Follow safety and quality culture and lift up to 50 lbs.
Interpret drawings to determine tooling and processes.
Move parts using cranes, forklifts, and material handling devices.
Adhere to Siemens procedures and QA standards.

A Snapshot of Your Day

Set up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment using CNC controls for multiple operations, to include but not limited to machining (Horizontal Boring Machines, Laser Drillers, 5-axis milling machines), bonding, heat treatment, manual machining and hand tools, etc.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Embrace Safety & Quality Culture.
Required to lift / move 50lbs of materials
Interpret detailed drawings/sketches, blueprints, manufactures specifications, etc., and figure out necessary tools to perform required machining operations
Using material handling devices (Jib & B/C cranes and forklifts), loads/unloads parts from machines and/or assists crane operator.
Follows Siemens established procedures to operate machinery and equipment.

What You Bring

Education:High School diploma or GED
Experience:Minimum of 3 years in CNC operations, specifically in the following areas:- Machining

Laser applications
Coating machines (specific experience preferred)

Required Certifications:- Fork truck/crane license (Active or ability to obtain it immediately on selection)
Ability to obtain an ACT® WorkKeys® National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Level or higher) as part of the pre-hire assessment. Siemens Energy will assist in scheduling the test upon shortlisting.
Skills:Proficient in CNC operation, loading/unloading workpieces, adhering to QA protocols, performing complex metrology, and interpreting complex drawings; strong shop math skills.
Ability to wear a respirator and pass a Process Operator Competency Test.
Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests as required to perform the duties.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
