Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC is hiring for a CNC Operator to set up and run manufacturing equipment across multiple operations, including machining, welding, and coating processes. You will read detailed drawings, select appropriate tools, and handle parts with cranes or forklifts while following strict safety and QA guidelines.

The role requires 3+ years of CNC experience, a high school diploma or GED, and certifications for forklifts/cranes; a silver WorkKeys certification is preferred.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in CNC operations, including machining, welding, laser applications, and coating machines (specific experience preferred).
Required Certifications: Fork truck/crane license (active or ability to acquire immediately on selection); Career Readiness / WorkKeys Certificate – Silver Status.
Skills: Proficient in CNC operation, loading/unloading workpieces, QA protocols, metrology, interpreting complex drawings; strong shop math.

Currently we are hiring in multiple product line manufacturing operations including - Steam Turbine, Large Generator, Gas Turbine and Combustion Components in a climate-controlled factory.

A Snapshot of Your Day

Set-up and operate a variety of manufacturing equipment using CNC controls for multiple operations on transitions, to include but not limited to machining, bonding, welding, manual machining and hand tools, etc.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Embrace Safety & Quality Culture.
Required to lift / move 50lbs of materials
Interpret detailed drawings/sketches, blueprints, manufactures specifications, etc., and determine necessary tools to perform required machining operations
Using material handling devices (Jib & B/C cranes and forklifts), loads/unloads parts from machines and/or assists crane operator.
Follows Siemens established procedures to operate machinery and equipment.

What You Bring
