Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC, seeks a CNC Manufacturing Process Specialist to set up and operate advanced CNC equipment for turbomachinery components in a clean, climate-controlled plant.

You will review build plans, select tooling, and perform in-process inspections with metrology tools while adhering to QA procedures and safety standards. The role requires reading intricate drawings and strong shop math, with teamwork to maintain production flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC operations experience (machining focus), including laser applications; coating machine experience preferred.
• Fork truck/crane license required.
• Ability to obtain ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (Silver Level or higher).
• Able to wear a respirator and pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.

Responsibilities

• Review build plans and blueprints, select tooling and workholding, and load jobs.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment for multi-step operations.

Your shift will be spent setting up and operating advanced CNC equipment for multi-step operations, including:Horizontal boring mills and 5-axis milling centersLaser drilling systemsBonding and heat-treatment processesOccasional manual machining and precision handworkThroughout the day, you’ll uphold Siemens procedures for safety, quality, and machine operation, perform in-process inspections with complex metrology tools, and document results per QA protocols.
