Siemens Energy seeks a precision CNC Lathe and VBM Specialist to join our climate-controlled manufacturing campus. You’ll set up and operate CNC machines, read complex blueprints, and apply GD&T to produce large, high-precision components for turbines and generators.

You’ll work with multiple controls and tooling, perform metrology verification, and collaborate with internal customers to deliver development and production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.

You’ll manufacture, modify, repair, and assemble complex machine tools with limited supervision—partnering with internal customers to deliver development and production-ready solutions.Your Core ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC machines for precision part manufactureRun one or more of the following with confidence: CNC VBM (various controls), CNC Lathe, CNC HBM (various controls)Use tables, workholding, and custom fixtures to maintain accuracy and repeatabilityQualificationsHigh school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred3+ years of tool room experience or equivalent GD&T masteryDemonstrated CNC proficiency, including offsets and metrology, with depth in at least one area: Lathe, Vertical Boring Mill, or Horizontal Boring MillKnowledge across manual machining, setups, tool wear, G- and M-code usage, troubleshooting, and blueprint readingAdvanced shop math; ability to digest complex drawings/specs/charts; strong with precision measuring instrumentsThe Career Readiness/Work Keys Certificate – Silver Status requiredMust be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function testsPhysical demands are moderate with periodic heavier liftsEligibility to WorkApplicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
