Advanced Pressure Systems, a SHAPE Technologies Group company, is a leading designer and manufacturer of surface prep technologies in Houston. The Manufacturing Manager oversees CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, process control, and capital strategy to ensure safety, quality, delivery, cost and continuous improvement.

The role leads a high-mix, tight-tolerance environment, directing machine shop personnel and engineering teams while driving Lean initiatives, KPI governance, and CAPEX

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
• 10+ years in CNC machining or manufacturing operations preferred.
• 5+ years in leadership roles within a machine shop or high-mix manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead all machine shop operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
• Own and drive manufacturing performance metrics including OTD, labor efficiency, OEE, scrap reduction, and throughput.
• Direct daily production activities, aligning schedules, resources and priorities to meet customer demand.
• Lead and develop manufacturing engineering and production teams, establishing accountability and continuous improvement.
• Own all manufacturing process documentation including routers, labor standards, and work instructions.
• Drive Lean Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Identify and implement CAPEX in equipment and technology to enhance capacity and competitiveness.
• Manage departmental budgets including labor, tooling, and equipment costs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Planning for manufacturability and timely delivery.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and zero-defect manufacturing.
• Lead safety initiatives and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Provide regular operational reporting with KPI performance and risk plans.
