BAE Systems is seeking a CNC Manufacturing Lead Engineer for the Combat Missions site in Aiken, SC. You will lead a team and engage in CNC manufacturing engineering work to support advanced vehicle production and related capital projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, strong CNC programming skills with Mastercam/NX/VeriCut, and CAD proficiency. On-site work with a focus on safety and continuous improvement is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or closely related field.
Experience with CNC Vertical, Horizontal and Multiaxis Machining Centers.
2+ years with Mastercam, NX or VeriCut.
Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
Ability to manage tool systems with focus on safety and reliability.
Proficient with MS Office and learning new software.
Ability to build relationships with customers to solve problems.
Strong safety awareness and organizational skills.
Capable of coordinating multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
Familiarity with GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009.

Responsibilities

Lead CNC programming and process development on combat vehicle production.
Provide production floor support and implement engineering design changes.
Develop manufacturing processes and write CNC programs using Siemens NX and Mastercam.
Act as Project Leader during equipment installations and capital projects.
