Job summary

BAE Systems, Inc. in Aiken, SC is seeking a dedicated Support Operator to perform precision finishing and machining of components in a safe, efficient production environment. You will set machine controls, load tools, measure parts, and ensure alignment with blueprints and quality specs.

Deburr, troubleshoot, and assist with paperwork and training as needed. Must have a high school diploma or GED; preferred skills include reading blueprints, shop math, and tool measurement.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Able to read blueprints and apply shop math.
• Able to use measuring tools to verify part quality.

Responsibilities

• Deburr steel and aluminum to remove burrs.
• Set machine controls, load tools, fixtures, and programs.
• Load/unload parts onto machines and fixtures from pallets.
• Secure parts with hand tools, fixtures, and fixtures.
• Machine parts to blueprint specifications.
• Check parts against quality specs.
• Troubleshoot and take corrective action.
• Move parts using hoists, pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Complete work orders and quality records.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Train others.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
