Job summary

Envista, operating through Implant Direct, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to advance CNC machining processes, tooling and setup optimization within a medical device manufacturing environment. This onsite role requires a commutable distance to Thousand Oaks, CA and collaboration with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering teams.

The candidate will develop and validate machining processes, analyze root causes, and implement improvements to enhance productivity, cost efficiency

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
2-4 years of manufacturing engineering experience in machining/manufacturing environments.
2+ years of experience supporting CNC machining operations.
Experience developing and optimizing machining processes for precision components.
Experience working with CNC setups, tooling and process troubleshooting.
Experience creating or modifying CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
Experience supporting manufacturing process validation and documentation.

Responsibilities

Support CNC machining operations through process development, optimization, troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
Develop, document, and maintain CNC manufacturing processes, setup sheets, work instructions, tooling requirements, and SOPs.
Collaborate with CNC programmers and machinists to optimize programs, improve cycle times, reduce setup times, and enhance process capability.
