Job summary

Jobot is seeking a CNC Maintenance Mechanic for 1st shift in Fitchburg, MA, focusing on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of CNC mills and fabrication equipment to keep production running smoothly in a precision manufacturing setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of CNC maintenance experience, familiarity with Fanuc controls, PLCs, sensors, and industrial automation, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machinery
• Experience performing preventive maintenance in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical equipment issues
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working with Fanuc controls
• Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, drives, and industrial automation systems
• Computer proficiency for maintenance records and diagnostics
• Experience supporting precision machining operations

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on CNC and fabrication equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Troubleshoot production equipment to minimize downtime
• Maintain and repair CNC mills and lathes
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and machine improvements
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and maintenance documentation
• Document repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve machine reliability
• Follow all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
