Job summary

Primus Aerospace is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Technician to perform routine inspections, scheduled maintenance, and basic repairs on CNC machinery and facility equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role focuses on preventing equipment failures, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a clean and safe manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and develop technical maintenance skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on CNC machines and related equipment.
• Inspect machinery for wear, damage, leaks, or potential issues and report concerns.
• Lubricate components, replace filters, perform basic adjustments and belt inspections.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems; escalate complex repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and schedules.
• Assist with machine installations, relocations, and equipment setup as directed.
• Monitor maintenance supplies and spare parts to ensure adequate inventory.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE procedures; maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize disruptions.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
