Ilocatum is seeking an experienced CNC Maintenance Mechanic II for a client serving the aerospace and defense industries in Portland, Connecticut. The role focuses on keeping CNC machinery and production equipment reliable through troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualificações

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on CNC troubleshooting experience.
• Experience diagnosing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment systems.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience coordinating with vendors and service providers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize maintenance needs and communicate with production staff.
• Commitment to safe work practices and reliable equipment operation.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machinery, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery, motors, conveyors, pneumatic tools, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment diagrams, manuals, and specifications to diagnose malfunctions.
• Identify equipment problems through observation and precision measurement.
• Dismantle equipment and replace defective parts using tools, hoists, and cranes.
• Adjust, align, and calibrate components and control instruments.
• Assist with installation and relocation of shop machinery.
• Fabricate repair parts as needed using shop equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors for complex repairs and parts.
• Maintain inventories and prepare purchase requisitions; document maintenance work.
• Help reduce downtime by sharing best practices and monitoring compliance.
• Support facility maintenance and follow safety procedures.
