Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in CNC maintenance.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CNC design and operational principles.
  • Proficiency in interpreting troubleshooting guides, manuals, and technical schematics.
  • Background in repairing and diagnosing industrial electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Skilled in the application of diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment.
  • Capable of safely operating industrial machinery, including forklifts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Self-directed with a focus on ongoing skill improvement and learning.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team or work independently.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, fix, and service CNC units, robotics, and machining centers.
  • Oversee installation and upkeep of machine tools and control systems.
  • Resolve complex issues involving electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Analyze schematics for hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Utilize vendor resources and OEM manuals to investigate and resolve equipment challenges.
  • Execute machine alignments through laser and conventional methods.
  • Maintain alignments with precision tools and measurement devices.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot DC/AC variable-speed drive systems.
  • Service various pump configurations and related systems.
  • Execute scheduled/preventive maintenance to extend equipment life.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and project tracking in CMMS.
  • Provide regular status updates and maintenance reports.
  • Apply predictive maintenance tech like thermal imaging, oil analysis, and vibration monitoring.
  • Adhere to safety and rigging protocols.
  • Provide immediate support during downtime to meet production goals.

Role Overview

The CNC Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and peak performance of CNC machinery, robotics, and various manufacturing systems. By leveraging advanced diagnostic tools for electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, the technician works to maximize equipment uptime and operational efficiency.

In this capacity, you will execute both preventative and predictive maintenance schedules, manage documentation within the CMMS, and provide rapid responses to equipment malfunctions to keep production lines moving.

Reports To: Maintenance Leadership

Location: Sedalia, Missouri

Core Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, fix, and service CNC units, robotics, and manual machining centers.

  • Resolve complex issues involving electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and project tracking within the CMMS.
  • Deliver regular status updates and maintenance reports to the team.

  • Maintain a secure working environment by adhering to established safety and rigging protocols.
  • Provide immediate support during machine downtime to help the team meet production goals.
