Qualifications

  • Completion of High School diploma or GED.
  • Maintain courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in distribution/shipping.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving consistent results.
  • Proficiency with RF scanning equipment.
  • Strong numerical literacy and ability to interpret paperwork.
  • Clear communication with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Self-driven, organized and proactive; able to work extra hours.

Responsibilities

  • Move products, materials, and supplies throughout the warehouse.
  • Operate pallet jacks and forklifts safely.
  • Use scanning tech, labeling, and scales for accurate packing and dispatch.
  • Process order documentation and interpret shipping instructions.
  • Prioritize urgent requests and expedite shipments to improve satisfaction.
  • Resolve shipping challenges across multiple carriers (LTL, DHL, FedEx, UPS, Discreet, VMI).
  • Keep workspace tidy and support SOP refinement.
  • Support colleagues and take on additional tasks as needed.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our distribution center team. Your primary focus will be executing daily warehouse tasks to ensure we hit our targets regarding inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, shipping standards, and overall quality. You will play an active role in both routine operations and upcoming initiatives designed to help our organization reach its expansion goals.

Work Site: Salem, OR

Compensation: $17 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle the physical movement of various products, materials, and supplies throughout the warehouse.
  • Maintain physical stamina to perform tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting, and kneeling.
  • Operate warehouse machinery, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, in a manner that ensures a secure environment for all staff.
  • Use scanning technology, labeling systems, and scales to ensure all parts are packed and dispatched with precision.
  • Process order documentation and interpret shipping instructions accurately.
  • Prioritize urgent requests and expedited shipments from office personnel and account managers to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and resolve technical or logistical shipping challenges as they arise.
  • Execute daily shipping requirements across multiple carriers, including LTL, DHL, FedEx, UPS, Discreet, and VMI.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly workspace to promote operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the ongoing refinement and creation of standard operating procedures within the facility.
  • Support your colleagues and take on additional tasks as the workflow demands.

Preferred Qualifications:
