Job summary

Nbutexas in Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to own facility and equipment maintenance in a hands-on manufacturing setting. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment, ensuring reliable operation and safety.

Reporting to the maintenance supervisor, you will read blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate parts. This role offers stability in a growing company and opportunities to advance toward setup-level responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on maintenance experience including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems.
  • Read and interpret building blueprints and equipment manuals.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Team-oriented with reliability and safety focus.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and identify manufacturing equipment and machinery in need of repair or preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues and determine the appropriate corrective action.
  • Plan and execute repair work using building blueprints and equipment manuals.
  • Perform routine maintenance on building systems to ensure operational reliability.
  • Communicate safety concerns related to personnel and facility conditions in a timely manner.
  • Order and manage supplies and materials needed to support ongoing maintenance and repairs.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to QMS effectiveness and conformance.
