Job summary

Precision Castparts in Dillon, SC is seeking a CNC Machine Repair Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and optimize CNC tools and related equipment, ensuring reliability and minimal downtime.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system issues, read schematics, and collaborate with maintenance teams to improve performance and safety.

This full-time role requires strong problem solving, attention to detail, and a willingness to work varying shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree or equivalent in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machine tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and machine drawings.
• Experience with Okuma, Fanuc, and other major CNC machine control systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance management systems.
• OSHA safety training or equivalent certifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair CNC machine malfunctions across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot CNC controls, servo drives, motors, sensors, and automation systems.
• Read schematics and mechanical drawings to identify problems and solutions.
• Install, align, calibrate, and test machinery to meet specs.
• Maintain maintenance logs and equipment documentation.
• Collaborate with operators, engineers, and supervisors to improve performance and reliability.
• Ensure safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures are followed.
