Caterpillar Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd and 3rd shifts at the Decatur, IL facility. You will support CNC machine repairs, production maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting in a heavy manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

3+ years in Maintenance Mechanic or equivalent.
CNC repair and troubleshooting experience.
Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical data.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machines and production equipment.
Perform mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, piping, and plant maintenance tasks.
Diagnose equipment issues using drawings, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
Use precision measurement tools and laser alignment for accurate repair.
Fabricate, weld, and modify machine components as needed.
Install and maintain piping and plant support systems.
Safely rig, hoist, and position equipment.
Support preventive maintenance and plant uptime.
Follow safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
