SUMMARY

Performavarietyofsemiskilledandskilleddutiestorepair,rebuild,maintain, and install machinery, building equipment and fixtures.

ESSENTIALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIESincludethefollowing. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Workfromworkorders,verbalinstructions,tradestraining,manuals,blueprints, anddrawingstomachineandfabricateparts, assemble,ordisassemblemachines and troubleshoot problems.
  • Operatemachineshopequipmenttocomplexandexactingtolerancestomeet assigned job requirements.
  • Layoutmaterialsformachineguards,parts,conveyors,tanks,shaftsandbuilding repairs.
  • Setupandtestrunequipmentforadjustments,improvements,andreductionsof down or set up times.
  • Rig, move and install heavy or delicate machinery and equipment.
  • Erect, move and repair walls, fixtures, doors, and floors.
  • Maintain vehicles and material handling trucks. Design jigs, fixtures, and operating stands.
  • Instructoperatorsandlessexperiencedpersonneltooperatemachinesand equipment effectively and safely.
  • Providemechanical,hydraulic,pneumatic,electrical,andbuildingtradepractices for maintenance services.
  • Developbillsofmaterialsandpartslistsforassignedprojects.
  • Operatelathes,millers,grinders,benchequipment,welders,plumbingtoolsand use precision measuring instruments, power, and hand tools.
  • Responsibletoprepareandsubmitrecords,reportsandformsrequiredby company procedures.
  • Observeallcompanypoliciesandregulationsincludingsafety,housekeeping, and quality of work with support of ISO procedures and standards.
  • Utilize individually and/or further the use of total quality concepts, tools, and techniquestosupportcontinuousqualityimprovementinallprocessesinwhich the position participates with a positive "Can Do" attitude.
  • Support,encourageandmaintainapositiveteamworkingatmospherethroughout the company.

EDUCATIONand/orEXPERIENCE -

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or over three to five years of related CNC Machining Equipment Maintenance experience and Machine Shop Machinery Maintenance, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGESKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions,andproceduremanuals.Abilitytodraftroutinereports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICALSKILLS

Abilitytoadd,subtract,multiply,anddivideinallunitsofmeasure,usingwhole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to apply basic trigonometry.

REASONINGABILITY

Abilitytosolvepracticalproblemsanddealwithavarietyofconcretevariables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
