ARCH in Newtown, Connecticut, is seeking a skilled technician to maintain and repair CNC machines. The role involves diagnosing failures, performing electrical and mechanical repairs, and ensuring quality and safety in operations.

Repairs and maintains all components of production CNC machines and equipment including pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, material handling systems, air compressor systems, automated lubrication systems, hoists and performs miscellaneous mechanical, plumbing and electrical building repairs by performing the following duties.

Associate's degree in mechanical or electrical disciplines preferred or equivalent training from military or technical school; 5 years related experience and/or training on CNC production machines; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and machine drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to present numerical data effectively and write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem solving situations.
Possess basic computer skills and Word processing and spreadsheet software and be able to navigate on the internet. Ability to use the following electronic test and diagnostic equipment: digital multimeter, oscilloscope, amp meter, meg meter.
