Job summary

Walter Tools is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer for our Greer, SC facility. You will develop preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for CNC grinding machines and support equipment, driving reliability and uptime.

You will lead root cause analysis, implement improvements, and train technicians while collaborating with production and engineering teams to maximize OEE and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent knowledge with 5+ years of hands-on maintenance engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on maintenance engineering experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC grinding machines (ANCA, Rollomatic, Reinecker) is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI; SAP a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across operations, engineering and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies for CNC grinding machines and facility equipment.
• Lead corrective maintenance activities, perform RCA and FMEA to eliminate recurring failures.
• Improve PM/PdM strategies and train maintenance staff for better OEE.
• Monitor KPIs (OEE, MTBF, MTTR) and present data-driven insights via Power BI/Excel.
• Ensure OSHA/EHS compliance and safe work practices across maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with CNC operators and process engineers to resolve machine-related issues.
