Job summary

Walter Tools in Greer, SC seeks a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to maximize uptime of CNC grinding machines and support equipment used in drill manufacturing and reconditioning.

You will lead preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs, use CMMS systems, perform RCA and FMEA when issues arise, and work closely with production and engineering teams to improve OEE and reliability. A strong data-driven mindset and Lean/ TPM experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• 3–5+ years of maintenance or reliability engineering in CNC machining or precision manufacturing.
• Familiarity with CMMS, RCA, FMEA, and Lean/ TPM principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs for CNC grinding machines and facility systems.
• Lead corrective maintenance activities and use RCA/FMEA to eliminate recurring failures.
• Monitor and report key maintenance KPIs (OEE, MTBF, MTTR) and drive data-driven improvements.
