Job summary

Donaldson is seeking a Machinist Trainee in Stevens Point, WI to support manufacturing by operating CNC equipment and assisting with setup and maintenance. This role offers hands-on training in blueprint reading and precision measurement, with emphasis on safety and continuous learning.

The 3rd shift runs 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Sundays through Thursdays, with occasional Saturdays overtime. Starting pay is $24.68/hr plus a $0.45/hr shift differential for applicable shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic shop math and basic computer literacy.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machining equipment and load/unload materials following safety rules.
• Monitor machine cycles to spot errors and tool wear.
• Inspect finished parts using gauges, micrometers and calipers with attention to accuracy.
