Qualified candidates typically have 2 years of mechanical/machining training or 3 years in heavy duty machining, and experience with SPC, precision measurement and basic math.

Qualifikationen

• 2 years in a mechanical, maintenance or machining trade school or equivalent Associate’s Degree; or 3 years of experience in a heavy duty machining environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of CNC-controls (preferred SIEMENS 840 D Controllers) machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Intermediate knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics and their applications
• Basic ability to interpret Statistical Process Control (SPC) and operate scanning devices for system communications
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Aufgaben

• Operate CNC HELLER machining centers with Siemens 840 D controllers according to instructions, routings, control plans and production requirements
• Study machining instructions, routings, control plans, job orders and blueprints to determine dimensional and finish specifications, sequences of operations, machine setups and tooling requirements
• Set up, adjust and operate basic machine tools and advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations
• Check precision measuring instruments and adjust according to quality control plans
