Job summary

Zaniboni Lighting is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for 2nd shift in Florida to run jobs on CNC lathes and mills, focusing on aluminum parts. You will operate Okuma and HAAS machines, perform in-process inspection, read blueprints, and maintain tolerances while supporting shop operations and safety policies.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of CNC experience, GD&T proficiency, and the ability to convert metric to imperial measurements. OSHA 10-hour certification is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience operating CNC lathes and mills.
• Experience with Okuma and HAAS preferred.
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• Proficient in metric to imperial conversions.
• Strong shop math and geometric reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspection using calipers and micrometers.
• Adjust offsets and program as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Apply shop math to verify part dimensions.
• Conduct basic maintenance to machines (cleaning, coolant checks).
• Assist with deburring, tapping, and related tasks as needed.
• Maintain paperwork and records for produced parts.

Job description

2nd Shift Schedule: Workweek: 4 days, Monday to Thursday.Hours: 10-hour shift (3:00 PM – 1:30 AM), including a 30-minute lunch break
We are hiring Experienced CNC Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes and Mills. Machining parts in aluminum.

We have Okuma and HAAS Machines with sub-spindle and live tooling.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
• Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances
• Must be able to work off of blueprints
• Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts
• Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
• You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving
• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records
• Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes and Mills. Experience with CNC Okuma and HAAS a plus
• Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions
• General knowledge of G-code and M-code
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading
• Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts
• OSHA 10-hour

Physical Demands

Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. The ability to stand up a total of 10 hours, with breaks, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.

Stations have anti-fatigue mats and stools available when needed.
