Job summary

Zaniboni Lighting in Clearwater, FL is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to operate Okuma lathes, produce precision parts from aluminum, plastic and stainless steel, and maintain tight tolerances.

You will read blueprints, perform in-process inspections, adjust offsets and tools, and assist with deburring and shop duties. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a small shop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC Lathes.
• Experience with CNC Okuma is a plus.
• Proficient in algebra, geometry and capable of metric-imperial conversions.
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code.
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading.
• OSHA 10-hour certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• In-process inspection using calipers and micrometers.
• Adjust offsets and program as needed to maintain tolerances.
• Read and work from blueprints.
• Perform basic maintenance on machines and periodic coolant maintenance.
• Assist with deburring, tapping, and other shop tasks as needed.
• Maintain paperwork and quality records for produced parts.
• Adhere to safety policies and work safely.

Workweek

3 days, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Hours

12-hour shift (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM), including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

Experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes, working with aluminum, some plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts.

We have Okuma Lathes, running with sub-spindle live tooling and bar feeders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
• Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances
• Must be able to work off of blueprints
• Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts
• Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
• You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving
• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records
• Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner

Requirements

Physical Demands

Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. The ability to stand up, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time.

Stations have anti-fatigue mats and stools available when needed.
