Job summary

PennEngineering in Shelby Township, Michigan is seeking a CNC Machinist to join the Haeger Team. You will operate CNC milling and lathe machines to produce precision components for hydraulic press equipment, working with high attention to detail and quality.

The role requires 5+ years in production machining, the ability to read engineering prints, and MasterCAM experience for Mazak/Haas machines. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in our collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in production machining, prototype experience preferred.
• Experience writing programs for mills and lathes, preferably with MasterCAM for Mazak/Haas machines.
• Ability to read engineering prints and work instructions.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.
• Safety & quality focused.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains CNC milling and lathe machines, including vertical and horizontal milling.
• Machine parts and assemblies from various materials for prototype or small-volume production.
• Create tool paths and process sheets; prepare manufacturing drawings.
• Review drawings, instructions, and samples for accuracy.
• Write CNC programs and select appropriate machines and settings.
• Plan task sequences and ensure 5S targets in the department.
• Identify opportunities for product improvement and perform preventative maintenance.
