Job summary

Confidential Employer in York Haven, PA seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, producing precision components per specifications. You will select tooling, perform touch-offs, and optimize feeds and speeds to ensure quality.

Responsibilities include reading and editing simple CNC programs at controls, troubleshooting, supporting prototypes, and collaborating with the shop team to meet changing priorities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience with both mills and lathes.
• Independently set up and operate CNC machinery.
• Strong understanding of tooling selection, touch-offs, feeds and speeds.
• Ability to read CNC programs and make edits at machine controls.
• Familiarity with Fanuc CNC controls; Okuma experience preferred.
• Ability to create simple CNC programs directly at the machine is a plus.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to learn new processes and assist in different shop areas.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision components.
• Select and install tooling, perform tool touch-offs, and adjust machining parameters.
• Apply feeds, speeds, and material properties to optimize performance.
• Read and edit CNC programs at machine controls.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust setups for quality and efficiency.
• Support prototype development, custom fabrication, and limited production runs.
• Collaborate with fellow machinists and production staff to meet changing priorities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
